As a parent or carer, you have supported your child to reach this important crossroad in their life. Now is the time when they take the initiave and decide where their interests are based, depending on their individual abilities and character. The degree choice is theirs. However, the more information you gather, the more you will be able to help your child make the right decision.
In addition to your support, our Student Recruitment Team will happily support your child to find the right course, for example how to fund university, or which qualifications will be the most important for later professional life.
We offer advice to parents who wish to support their child on the path to their chosen degree course:
- Vocational training or a degree course – how can I help my child make the right choice?
- What options are available for funding a degree course?
- What qualifications will be important in the working world of tomorrow?
You can discuss these and any other questions relating to higher education that are important to pupils and their parents during our parents’ consultation hours. Individual appointments by arrangement.
Please also note the activities on offer for school pupils (such as the Children’s University or Tech Holidays) under DIT and School.
