From Start-up to Scale-up: Turn your innovation into a scalable business

The Silicon Valley Program is a nine-month scaling and transformation programme run by the Bavarian Innovation and Transformation Centre (BITZ) at Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences.

We support ambitious teams in developing their Minimum Viable Product (MVP) into a business ready for investment with a scalable business model – drawing on methods, expertise and experience from Silicon Valley.

Who is this program suitable for?

You’ve come to the right place if...

  • you have developed an innovative product and have already managed to secure your first (pilot) customers
  • you want to scale your start-up internationally
  • you have an entrepreneurial mindset and a ‘think big’ attitude
  • you want to get your business ready for investment

The program is aimed at teams from all sectors who wish to develop their idea further in a professional manner.

Programme content & services

Over the course of the nine months, you will follow a structured process with clearly defined milestones:

Your team will be supported by experienced mentors. Through regular one-to-one meetings, you will refine your strategy and prepare your pitch to investors.

In monthly sessions, you’ll work on:

  • Market entry strategies
  • Competitive analysis
  • Business model optimisation
  • Financial planning and start-up metrics

You’ll gain access to an international network comprising:

  • Investors
  • Companies
  • Research organisations
Through direct interaction with international investors and a stay in Silicon Valley, you’ll learn from one of the world’s most successful start-up ecosystems.
  • Professional pitch deck
  • Training to an international standard
  • Access to relevant investors

Participation and applications

  • Entry fee: EUR 20,000 per team (up to 3 people)
  • No transfer of company shares
  • Application: Initial face-to-face interview to assess suitability for participation
